PREGNANCY

When pregnancy goes beyond 40 weeks

This document focuses on induction of labour. It doesn’t address other decisions that midwifery clients who are 40 and over may face while pregnant. This resource from the Association of Ontario Midwives is also available in French, Spanish, Farsi, Arabic and Chinese.

Iron deficiency in pregnancy

Iron plays many important roles in your health. You need iron to make hemoglobin, a part of red blood cells that carries oxygen throughout the body. This resource from the Association of Ontario Midwives is also available in French, Spanish, Farsi, Arabic and Chinese.

Vaginal Birth After Caesarean

If you have had a caesarean section (c-section) before, your midwife will talk to you about your options for this pregnancy. This handout aims to help you think and talk about your decision with your midwife, your partner and family and friends. This resource from the Association of Ontario Midwives is also available in French, Spanish, Farsi, Arabic and Chinese.
